PROJECTS OF COMMUNICATION AND TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Technical, economic and environmental study for the construction of the northern Warsaw outlet for S-8 expressway

The study is part of the implementation procedure of the northern exit from Warsaw (via S-8 expressway towards Białystok) on the section from the planned Eastern Bypass of Warsaw (S-17 road) to the Radzymin Bypass. The main design guideline was to improve the conditions for introducing international and domestic traffic to Warsaw, with the possibility of locating it on the express bypass of the city. At the same time, the implementation of this investment was related to the improvement of the traffic conditions and communication of the Wołomin Route, as well as the improvement of the air quality and the acoustic climate of towns located in this Route, in particular the city of Marki. Three basic alternative plans of the S-8 route were analyzed and the comparative analyzes were carried out in terms of technical, traffic, economic, spatial, environmental and social aspects. The third version of the route for the S-8 expressway was chosen in the application to the Voivode requesting a decision on the environmental conditions of the consent for the project implementation.
