Study of conditions and directions of spatial development for Dąbrówka Borough

The Study of the conditions and directions of spatial development for Dąbrówka covers the whole area of the borough – 10,920 ha. The S8 Via Baltica route runs through its area, dividing it functionally into the area associated with the Bug valley and forest complexes as well as into more urbanized lands, whose natural development trends are directed towards the neighboring city of Radzymin. This is an example of a rural borough in which agriculture ceased to be the dominant function (and especially the basic source of income for the population), while other leading functions have not yet developed. The Study is focused on the process of improving the quality of living conditions of the borough’s inhabitants through the use of its values and development conditions. It also aims at counteracting the degradation of valuable elements of the borough, especially in the field of natural environment, historical and cultural heritage, and counteracting barriers to development through spatial management based on contemporary principles of sustainable development.
