Basic ecophysiographic study was prepared in order to change the Study of the conditions and directions of spatial development in the Michałowice Borough, in the Pruszków county. The analysis covers the area which consists of four spatial units of very different environmental values. As part of the above document, the current state and operating conditions of the borough’s environment and neighboring areas were identified, along with the main environmental problems. The borough is a part of the natural system of the Warsaw Metropolitan Area and is within the range of the Warsaw Protected Landscape Area. The study area does not show direct natural links to the Natura 2000 sites. Based on detailed analyses, guidelines for the above mentioned document were formulated. They indicated the direction of shaping the natural structure of the borough based on ensuring the sustainability of basic natural processes, maintaining the conditions for the renewal of natural resources, eliminating or reducing threats and nuisance and reclamation of degraded areas.
