The basic ecophysiographic study for the city of Siedlce was prepared in relation to the Study of the conditions and directions of spatial development for the city of Siedlce. It covers areas with a predominant residential and service functions, constituting a mosaic of multi-family and single-family residential and service areas. There are production and service facilities on the outskirts of the city. The study discusses the most important natural values ​​and identifies the possibilities of improving the functioning of the city’s natural system. Areas chosen as predisposed to the development of urban functions and areas with limited development possibilities resulting from the legal protection of natural heritage, adverse effects of communication and technical infrastructure elements, as well as restrictions related to the risk of flooding were indicated.
