ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
Basic ecophysiographic study for the Local spatial development plan for the East Falenica area – part II in Warsaw
The ecophysiographic study was prepared for the needs of the Local spatial development plan for the area of East Falenica – part II, covering three areas located in the south-eastern part of the Wawer District, in Warsaw. One of the areas located in the center of Falenica is highly urbanized. It does not constitute a greater natural value and is outside the system of protected areas. In turn, the other two areas are dominated by forest complexes with highly dispersed residential buildings. Additionally, they are located in the Warsaw Natural System and in the buffer zone of the Mazowiecki Landscape Park. In the ecophysiographic study, a diagnosis and assessment of the environment’s performance was carried out. Prepared analyses involved defining the conditions resulting from the provisions of the law in the field of environmental and nature protection as well as the conditions resulting from the assessment of the environment’s performance and the conditions formulated in the Study of conditions and directions of spatial development for the capital city of Warsaw. The conducted analyzes constituted a set of planning guidelines indicating the direction of protection and shaping of the environment, including the preservation and protection of the existing forest complexes and their valuable natural resources, as well as taking actions which shape the conditions of protection against environmental nuisance.
