New plan adopted for the centre of Warsaw

Local spatial development plan for Czyste – Towarowa Street area

Warsaw city council adopted the plan by a resolution No. LIX/1858/2022 on 20 January 2022. The plan covers the area which includes old industrial sites. These sites are currently undergoing transformation into a metropolitan development (called 19. Dzielnica [19^th District]), which consists of skyscrapers in the vicinity of Rondo Daszyńskiego [Daszyński roundabout]. The main goal of the project was to coordinate the transformation processes. It was necessary to plan a proper transportation system as well as to establish parameters of the development, including localization of architectural landmarks and their altitudes in the planning context. It was also important to establish equipment of public spaces and means of protecting the buildings of historic values.
