Feasibility study for the Trakt Nadwiślański

The subject of the study is an analysis of the possibility of creating Trakt Nadwiślanśki [Vistula Route] – a trunk road with its course set out in the Study of conditions and directions of spatial development for the capital city of Warsaw. The scope of the study covered the section from the North Bridge Route to the Gdański Bridge along with the construction of a tunnel under Starzyńska Street and the bridge over the Żerań Canal. The conducted analyzes have shown that the construction of the route is possible provided that flood protection measures are taken into account. Due to the possibility of running the route only in the direct vicinity of the Vistula River, two alternative road solutions were proposed: on the extended flood embankment or on the flyover next to it. The assessment of the impact of the investment on the Natura 2000 area shows that the construction of Trakt Nadwiślanśki will affect the Special Protection Area, to the detriment of the nature of Warsaw, but it does not affect the natural habitats and species of the greatest importance. The immediate goal of the project is to build a street to relieve the national road No. 61 (exit to Pułtusk) and to improve the service and connection of the Tarchomin estate to the bridge routes and the Praga Północ [North Praga] District.
